My nephew and his girlfriend having some fun on the back of my ute with a beautiful sunset in the background.
After years of below average rainfall I finally managed to bog the ute yesterday. We have had lots of rain in the late winter spring period. Luckily we only had to walk about 700 metres to get the tractor. My nephew's girlfriend Sarah to the photograph using my iphone.
I got an iphone on Monday and the camera seems quite reasonable.
This is my nephew Angelo enjoying a Red at Sunset. This giant mechanical monster lays at rest in a lake it actually made when mining for gold.
I will include this link for some information on it. http://www.parkweb.vic.gov.au/resources05/05_1355.pdf Last night we had an excellent bonfire with all the old timber we have removed from the house during renovations.
Went for a drive today up Mt Hotham in the Victorian Alps with my nephew and his girlfriend.
There was still patches of snow in some places on the highest peaks. With no house Renovating this week I took the opportunity to make some modifications to my ute for camping and also carrying a bike inside. I had an idea to build a false floor to store things under and make a bed on top of the false floor. Previously I had to stack things outside on the ground to make the bed. First I made the frame and screwed some ply on to it. After bolting my new construction in the back of my ute so it can easily be removed. I have a place for my bike, the fridge in the rear corner and plenty of room underneath my false floor for storage. I soon realise it is going to be difficult to get onto the bed with the bike and the fridge in place so I decide to build a ladder on the drivers side of the tray which will also be useful when putting things on the roof rack as well. And I have even painted it white since this photo was taken.Pretty groovy welding helmet! I do have a shot with the ladder painted white. I will give it a run this weekend to see how it all works. I saw this sign on a colourful shop wall inthis morning and it made me think about the message.
I'm sure this is true but I think you must really be prepared to change in the first place. |
