Sometimes the best part of the House renovations are chatting with friends.  The Birds are active at the moment and there are lots of young ones just learning to fly. The parents are busy catching insects etc. to feed their young. The Kookaburra seems to be just chilling out.    I dont know if it's an omen for the Grand Final this weekend but the Magpies are certainly aggressive at the moment. This one actually hit my helmet 3-4 times.  Whilst out on a ride this morning I had my little point and shoot camera with the thought of trying to take photos of magpies swooping me. There are are couple of pretty aggressive ones but today I think they were a little camera shy. I did get one frame that included a magpie and plenty that didn't and I also bumped the camera controls so many didn't work. Also I saw one of my friends out slashing grass so I pulled over for a chat. When I told him my bike may be worth as much as his tractor he decided to take off with it.   Here Fox is using a filler to cover the joins in the plaster sheets. In the "Game" it's called Stopping Up. The 2 Bedrooms and the new en suite now have all the plaster on the roof and walls.  Back at the Rutherglen Wine Bottle tonight, some nice light and a rainbow. The bottom one is 9 photos stitched together but the small space here makes the bottle look tiny.    I'm not sure how easy this will be to read as some of the paint is coming of the sign but here is the plaque on the Wine Bottle with a little of the history.  I have been trying to get a decent shot of the iconic Rutherglen Wine Bottle for some time. This is taken from the Rutherglen Pound. The Bottle is under threat from being pulled down due to maintenance costs and the community is trying to save it. Fox is spearheading the push to save it so I have had a little fun with one of the images in photoshop and dedicated it to him. I am currently attending a photoshop course at Wodonga Tafe so it is a good chance to practice some of what we are being taught.    My first play with photoshop and the bottle.  With the help of a friend and photoshop we added a label.  You can see this version hanging in Campbells tasting/cellar area.  |
