This photo is taken at the peak of the floods this morning. I am standing on the road which is closed due to some of it being under water. It's the Oven's River at the Seven Bridges which are on the Peechelba Road 20 mins drive North of Wangaratta.
For those of you who keep an eye on my blog you may remember a photo of Jose as "The Guardian" of a friends mob of sheep. Here is is having his first haircut in 4 years and he was so calm and relaxed during the process. We had gathered reinforcements in case he had to be restrained but that wasn't necessary so I was able to take photos instead.
I was wondering what it means when you bike is worth several times more than the vehicle thats transporting it.
Recently I spent an afternoon canoeing on the black swamp. I was a little worried taking my camera as I didn't want to get water on it. The swamp is full of wonderful looking Red Gum trees like this one and is a haven for water birds.
My niece Amy who is also a keen photographer took this photo of me at the Black Swamp.
There is much more water in it than when I took the previous shots there. This was taken after an afternoon splitting firewood on my brothers farm near Tarcutta NSW. My back is going to take a while to get over this. But I shouldn't complain as we do have a hydraulic splitter. Previously it was done by hand
This is the Boorhaman Church. A church and a pub and half a dozen houses make up Boorhaman.
Also today I took a few photos of a bike race called the Shepparton Classic which came close to Wangaratta. I stood up on The Taminick Gap in the gloom and mist to take a few shots. I added some photos to my website in a new Gallery called Shepparton Classic which you can find as a sub page of my sport Gallery. Couldn't help myself tonight when I saw this beautiful moon in the sky. This is your new blog post. Click here and start typing, or drag in elements from the top bar.
